BeammWave is a small innovative company, developing a disruptive mmWave digital beamforming radio architecture. We will drastically change the way beamforming will be implemented in 5G wireless devices. BeammWave is expanding and is searching for a Senior Digital ASIC designer with interest and experience in ASIC design or verification for wireless communication systems.
Responsibilities
As digital ASIC designer in BeammWave’s digital ASIC development team, you will be developing the digital parts of our disruptive mmWave digital beamforming radio architecture. The work includes the design and verification of ASICs as well as the development of FPGA platforms for demonstration and verification of our radio solutions. As a developer you will also follow the future trends of digital ASIC design in the area of mmWave radio, in collaboration with customers, partners and universities.
Education And Experience
- M.Sc.E.E or PhD in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Embedded systems, Wireless Communication, Computer Science, Signal Processing or equivalent background.
- A background in ASIC / SoC or FPGA design and/or verification/simulation at sub-system and/or chip level
- More than 4+ years of experience, with multiple projects from design to tape-out under the belt
- A good understanding of the Digital ASIC flow and tools
- Willing to act as a mentor for young talents
- Experience from ASIC/FPGA design and verification in real customer projects will be counted as a significant plus
- Knowledge about wireless communication, radio transceivers and radio system components.
- Knowledge about ASIC/FPGA implementations of new algorithm paradigms, based on AI and machine learning is also counted as a significant plus
- Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Good social and networking skills to support teamwork in project groups as well as ability to work independently.
This full-time position will be at BeammWave’s premises at Ideon Science Park, Lund, Sweden, and the work will be together with a mixed team of highly experienced as well as junior engineers within the areas of system architecture, RF and digital ASIC design, forming the BeammWave technical team.
